What’s even better than a safe, sober ride home on a Friday night? A safe ride home with trivia and prizes! On Friday, Nov. 6th USG partnered with GUARD Dogs for the first run of USG GUARD Dogs Cash Cab. The USG executive committee manned the vans and did their best Ben Bailey impersonations while providing over 300 safe rides home.

Upon getting in the vans students were able to answer UConn themed trivia questions and win up to $20 in Wings or Dominos gift cards. Originally the brainchild of Promotion and Recruitment Chair Brian Ingmanson, GD cash cab proved to be a big success. “We had a lot of fun driving around and playing the game with our riders,” said Vice President Lia Albini. “Everyone we played with had a great time and we definitely want to do another weekend next semester.”

So be on the lookout UConn Students. There may be GUARD Dogs vans running every weekend but there’s only once and a while where these vans pay you!
